We're having a warm spell up here, which gave me the perfect chance to wear another piece Suz sent me: this terribly romantic, very lightweight silky floral jacket. I squealed when I saw it in the box.&nbsp;I love its nod to kimonos, and the colours include so many of my favourites. It is so lovely to wear too: not at all constricting.&nbsp;Today I decided to pair it with a pale pink silk/cotton blouse to bring out the paler flowers in the print. I love light pink with navy, so I finished with these soft navy blue cotton trousers (a bit lighter weight than denim to keep me cool).</p> <p>They're&nbsp;by Boden, and I got them off Ebay after Angie did a post about what good quality Boden was. I was a little nervous, as I've never bought trousers without trying them on, and they're tricky for me to fit, but I got lots of measurements from the seller and it worked out wonderfully. They even fit my bum without gaping at the waist, which almost never happens!&nbsp;They are very comfortable to wear but still flattering and have the neatest details: little corduroy patches on the inner knee riding style and button closures on the front pockets. Unfortunately the afternoon light kind of wiped out all of those details, but they definitely make me want more Boden in my closet.</p> <p>Since the jacket has a print and the blouse has a decorated yoke, I thought a brooch would be overkill. So I added my secret-clock necklace (it opens up and has a little pocket watch inside), and my gold rings and bracelet to match. I also&nbsp;wore my navy t-strap Aurora flats, but Thistle is completely blocking those from view! Oh well. Since my move, I've been walking even more than in Texas, as I'm now car-free, so I've pretty much been living in my Auroras or boots when it's cool enough.</p> <p>For the sake of full disclosure, I included the indoor, jacket-free, be-slippered&nbsp;version too. It's nice to have bare arms when it's warm inside!</p> <p>Anyway, there you have it! Perhaps more appropriate for spring than fall, but that just means I'll have to wear it again. Suggestions &amp; critiques always welcome. Are the blazer sleeves supposed to hit a bit above my wrist&nbsp;or should I snip the stitches holding up the roll so that the sleeves are longer?&nbsp; </p>
