It was perched on the far side of the feeder with the part holding seeds in the way. The inner part of the tail and a bit of the side looked white or very light. I could not see the head and it flew off quickly while I reached for binoculars. It may have had dark areas that I could not see. The feeder is very small, made by a 3 year old, and usually frequented by chick-a-dees or sometimes juncos. Today I saw the Eurasian collared doves for the first time this season. A white bird slightly larger than a house finch made a quick stop for sunflower a seed. I had not seen it before. It had a long tail. I wore this green coat to walk the dogs. It is canvas, lined in heavy fleece, and is nice in wind. One of the boys, Bob Barker (not his real name), always wears a green collar, which is hard to see because of his rough coat. Mr Skunky (not his real name either), always wears a red one. We’ve been having snow showers all weekend. </p>
