Oh dear, you get credit just for dressing yourself at that hour! I wouldn't ditch the shirt quite yet, it looks like it has a nice drape to it. Can you wear it with jeans (semi-tucked)? You could sub in a denim jacket for it in this outfit if that wouldn't be too hot. I love the black top, printed skirt and ballet flats. Very Audrey.

I agree with the others - the pattern mixing works - but I bet you'd feel better wearing it if the shirt was partially buttoned and semi-tucked. Good for you for trying something out of your comfort zone when you've had so little sleep. When I'm tired I usually go for one of my FFBs!

Hope your day went well! I think partially buttoning and tucking the shirt would add to the outfit. I think just hanging open isn't the best for it.

Laura I think the print mix itself is fine, but the whole thing would look more purposeful if you did the shirt up and tucked, at the least, the front in. Or maybe knot it in a retro way. Left open like a jacket like this isn't doing it for me.

PS: Waking up at 3:30am sounds rough! D:

I don't think it's oddball, but I prefer pattern mixes where the pattern size is noticeably different. Because the colors are in harmony I think this works.

And if I woke up at 3:30 am, I would be a hot mess!

I like the prints/colors together. I was wondering how the shirt would look buttoned and tucked to give it a bit more structure?

In terms of the shirt, is it the color or the shape that bothers you?

I was up at 3:30a today, ugh, yet I still have a full day ahead of me. Trying to perk myself up with a pattern mixing outfit that's a little out of my comfort zone. I could have added printed shoes or a striped tank, but that seemed like a bridge too far. Curious whether you think it works since everything is in the same colors. Quirky art teacher odd, or talks to herself in public odd??

P. s. I realize after looking at the pics that I'm going to have to stop wearing this shirt even though I love the print, because it does absolutely nothing for me...
