They seem more fashion minded than my old area. At church today I saw an older woman with a beautiful metallic pewter stand collar top with frayed edge. It was so striking with her grey hair. She wore this with medium wash blue jeans and a black down jacket. I could not see her feet. There were three women with blouses with large lace inserts. One was a white shirt but the whole back was lace.<br /> All pieces seem of higher quality and more carefully chosen than in Kansas. Lots more that looks designer.<br /> I have gone to more consignment stores than thrift stores here so far. There is more from designers and from around the world..hand knit bulky sweaters from Peru, many Icelandic jackets, Thai silver jewelry. Etc. What I am wearing in this post was previously acquired. My most recent finds here are a brass chain with what looks like a French medallion, an icy pink cashmere/silk mix scarf, and a Prana peach colored print hoody top. Would not change a thing.</p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-a-forgettable-outfit#post-1757213 Sun, 04 Dec 2016 19:46:47 +0000 Anonymous 1757213@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Today I wore what has been a forgettable outfit.  The skirt is not tight but stays put and is long enough not to have to worry what I am showing while holding a toddler or sitting (or both)  I do not have to worry about hair or lint sticking to the leather jacket.  The top is long enough not to ride up but short enough to wear untucked with a skirt.  The semi-sheer stockings stay up and don't wrinkle around the ankles.  The booties are warm and comfortable and stable to walk in.  The bag is the right size to hold what I need including little toys for a toddler without my having to dig and search.  Most of the outfit is thrifted. Suggestions and comments welcome. </p>
