Its usually always around 72-75 near the coast) is trying to dress so I am cool and comfortable enough while outside (where I hold many of my meetings) while also being warm enough in the frigid temps they like to keep our office when I'm indoors.</p> <p>So obviously layering comes into play, but I also have to figure out the right ratio of exposed arm, foot or leg (like if my legs are exposed my feet need to be covered so I won't be too cold, or if I my arms and feet are exposed my legs need to be covered).</p> <p>I know, I know, that sounds freakin' weird, but I haven't been able to be more "exposed" without being chilly&nbsp;since I left the extreme temps of Vegas some years back.</p> <p>So my outfit from Monday was an an attempt to layer enough and get the right ratio so I'd be comfortable indoors or out. It was also a personal challenge to myself I've been doing this week to show my legs more (not in a weird way, just meaning that I have a tendency to shy away from shorter skirts, dresses or shorts even when they are weather appropriate because of my legs). </p> <p>I'm not a fan of my legs mostly because they've developed the most extreme and large sun/age spots in the last 5 years or so --so they're pretty darned spotty looking. I've actually jokingly started to refer to them as my "leopard legs" (and then tell myself that I'm a huge fan of leopard print so I should shut up and like them as much as I like leopard print!).</p> <p>I don't think the outfit was very successful in the&nbsp;cool/warm enough department,&nbsp;but I had a backup item --I tucked a denim shirt in my bag so if it turned out I got cold in the office I could put that on under the long knit vest to add a layer and help keep my arms warm.</p> <p>I was cold so ended up wearing the denim shirt most of the whole day (hey, I get points for another variation on double denim! Another combo I am not a huge fan of but love to push outside my comfort zone and experiment with!)</p> <p>I definitely think the look was very fun and made me think of something worn to Coachella or some other type of music festival.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Fedora</b>: vintage (via flea market)<br /><b>t-shirt</b>: Aeropostale<br /><b>Denim Shorts</b>: Old Navy (bought in Vegas years ago back when I did expose my legs on a regular basis while still being warm enough)<br />Belt: vintage (thrifted)<br /><b>Knit boho design alpaca vest</b>: vintage (via flea market)<br /><b>Tiger stripe calfskin oxfords</b>: Dolce Vita (obtained new in box for a whopping $14 via ebay. Woot!)<br /><b>Copper chain tusk necklace</b>: vintage (via flea market)<br /><b>Art nouveau style ring</b>: Jan Michaels (via flea market)<br /><b>Bronze bones cuff bracelet</b>: Forgot the jewelry designer's name (via Wasteland)<br /><b>Wood ring</b>: bought from a little hand-craft vendor in Barcelona, Spain years ago.<br /><b>Washed leather messenger bag with brass studs</b>: Campomaggi (via ebay years ago) </p>
