I am so impressed by your maternity style! Amazing looks, all of them. The peacock tunic is fantastic. I am so impressed that you are fitting in your non-maternity jeans, especially the skinnies! With my second pregnancy, i was in maternity pants by the end of my first trimester. You hardly even look pregnant in 1 and 8. Congrats on your baby boy. How fun!

How are you managing to look even BETTER pregnant? You are rocking it! Most of my pants fit for a long time too, mostly because I wore my pants big and hip-slung at the time. I hated maternity wear!

The last outfit with the bf jeans is a perfect 10! As for your waist-surrendering looks in the second and third outfits, I think you look really cute in them because the focus is on your bump as well as your long slim legs. But if you don't feel fab, then it's not worth it. (You look nothing like a grey sack btw, that's in your head.) In any event I am so honored that you tried the look based on my suggestion.

Love the b&w top but I do understand how DH might get dizzy looking at you in it. Is he seizure-prone?

Natalie, I'm just arrived at 14 weeks and I promise to try and be better about getting some pics --- I think *I* may want a few photographic records for myself, before I become unrecognizable in the mirror! :-D

Kurtas have been a saving grace, true --- though I don't have a very large selection on hand. I used to wear rather fitted versions, which of course I can't squeeze into now.

And boy do I understand about the tiredness! I'm in fact extremely impressed at how much you manage to post what with being a mom twice over and a working-outside the-home-every-day-woman to boot --- all admiration!

Thanks everyone! Shiny, it's a boy, actually!

OMG squeee! Manidipa!!!! I am so excited for you! I missed the announcement (I haven't been able to keep as close tabs on the forum since I'm tired a lot myself), but I'm so happy to have another pregnancy buddy! You and Scarlet have to post lots of pics, OK? I have one Indian tunic top that I got from Sona via swap, and I wish I had more. Seems like those tops are the perfect way to skim over the bump while still being able to wear cheery colors and patterns. Don't settle for grey T-shirts! ITA about the silly maternity stuff. Although it's gotten better the last few years. But I'm trying to minimize my maternity purchases since it's my last one. I can't wait to see your maternity style and your cute baby bump! I'll try to post more pics for you when I have time. Looks like we are about the same stage too. Yay!

You *have* to be the fabbest pregnant woman in town, Natalie! My absolute favorites are 9-13. I think maybe because the fitted parts of the blouses still feel like "you." And since there is no issue hiding the bump, why not embrace it? Your bump looks SO cute in the stretchy polka dot top. Just adorable.

Congratulations, Natalie! (Sorry so late to the party, I got waylaid by first-trimester Rip van Winkle-ness myself!) And may I just say, irrespective of outfits, you look amazing? Love your style, which has certainly NOT hit any bumps! :-p

It's interesting that you're doing Non-Maternity Pants Week and finding yourself outgrowing tops instead. I was surprised to find that too (it's my first time, hence the shock), because I can still wear many of my regular pants and skirts, some with the elastic trick and some without; but I'm finding myself more prone to busting out of tops! Certainly not what I anticipated, though it's an expanding rib cage rather than a length or, um, boobage issue like many people warned me.

Back to your outfits, I'm quite amazed by #1, since my button-downs were my first casualties! You look hardly any different, even though the cute bump is clearly very much there in some of your knit tops!

Personally, I like the waist-surrender looks, especially with the graphic top; but then I find it more challenging/novel to cinch my waist than otherwise, even normally. But the peacock tunic is perfection --- the perfect compromise of loose over the tum, but 'waisted'. And a gorgeous print, in colours that are glorious on you to boot! That length will last you a good few months, I hope.

Since I'm in my second trimester now, I had packed away all my regular jeans and pants and thought that I had to start wearing maternity. But when I wore the couple new pairs of maternity jeans I bought, they kept wanting to slide off my butt and I had to keep yanking them up, which is really frustrating. I think my belly is not quite big enough to hold them up yet (even though I have quite a prominent bump now, there's no hiding it anymore).

So I decided to go back to my regular non-maternity pants this week, figuring I'd leave them unzipped and do the elastic around the button trick. But surprisingly, I found out I didn't have to--some of my pants still fit buttoned up all the way! All of these pants are my non-maternity pants completely buttoned up! Some of these were slightly loose to begin with, or stretchy or boyfriend jeans. I'm shocked I still fit into them--maybe I'm carrying higher this time! Actually, all of these clothes are non-maternity BTW.

The only problem is my non-maternity tops are starting to become too short (like the polka dot top in #12) and require a lot of yanking down, so I think I'm going to have to bust out the maternity clothes soon anyhow. But I'll enjoy squeezing as much time out of my non-maternity clothes as I can while it lasts!

1-2. One last hurrah for the H&M floral pants! The Anne Fontaine blouse is so stretchy (the whole back is this spandex type material)--I think it might actually work as a maternity button down blouse. The F21 orange jacket was from the OC swap--fun to pair with the floral pants and turquoise Kate Spade pumps and clutch. Wore this to work and it was fun to still feel "fashiony" even while pregnant.

3-4. I don't love this look but am posting it for Denise (since she suggested a grey dolman sweater for me in another thread). Express sweater that I got as a bday gift from my sister. It's see-through mesh so I had to wear a black H&M tank under it. Ugh I just don't like this silhouette on me--I am not used to waist surrender and dolman sleeves. I feel like a big grey sack of potatoes especially with the big belly! I still like fitted waists, even though I have no waist anymore! Kut from the Kloth red skinnies are a little stretchy so they still fit, and red Converse.

5-7. Same red skinnies and Converse and black tank, this time with a Bobeau black and white banded top (DH doesn't like this top on me--he hates swirly graphic patterns like this one) and black KS trench and red WHBM bag. Still unsure about the whole waist surrender look--feel like it kind of makes me look even bigger than I am. But I like this one better than the grey sweater because of the pattern--feels a little more "me".

8. Classiques Entier grey blazer with black lace trim. Paired with the matching grey trousers (instead of the matching skirt), because I wanted to try a pant suit look this time. Black Anne Fontaine stretchy shirt (though this one shows too many tummy lumps). The grey trousers are size 6 and were slightly loose before, now they're snug. I can button up the blazer but it's getting a little too snug to keep it buttoned all day. Paired with my favorite combo--Dotty and fishbow pumps (to keep the outfit from being TOO boring). Wore this to work, but took the kids to the park after work.

9-11. Finally big enough to break out the Albert Makali peacock tunic. It's actually non-maternity, but it totally looks like a maternity top on me now. I can't believe I can still button up the Gap Real Skinny pants! Major coup! Bronze Born flats and grey KS bag. Wore this to work, but bonus shot with DS at the park.

12-13. Kut from the Kloth Catherine boyfriend jeans for MOTG. These were still sliding off a little because I had sized up to an 8. Wore it with my polka dot shirt (getting too short to cover the bump though) and red INC cardigan. Dotty and red Converse.

Well, I thought it would be fun do a Last Call for Non-Maternity Pants week. Now back to my regularly scheduled programming of jersey dresses!
