I love the freshness of the mint color and like the ideas you've been given to update the argyle.<br /> I've got an older longer sleeveless version of what is probably the same Gap denim dress. The other details look the same. I've kept it because it is the easiest piece in the world to just pull on and look put together. Your dress will be great with boots for fall/winter. You could wear a tee under it and leave some of the top buttons open. I do like the pockets. And it would transition into fall. I'll give it a few more tries and see what everyone thinks.</p> <p>I love argyle, but I own quite a bit of it. Almost too much to be honest. I do like the idea to tone it down with a vest or jacket and add a skirt to the mix. If the fabric is drapey, then it's not so prominent, but with denim, it does flare out a bit. The pockets make it tricky, but I'd bet you could take that baby to the tailor and have her/him take some of that flare outta there. It's a shame to donate the dress, as it looks so great on you otherwise, and seems like it would be very versatile for fall.</p> <p>I'm not a huge preppy fan, so I'm not too objective, but if you're not feeling it, then pass it along.</p> <p>I like the navy cascading cardigan, though it is long. Maybe it will shine in the fall and winter, with some dark jeans and some high-heeled boots?
