Not Perfect Linen is very worth the wait. It does force you to plan ahead a bit. :)</p> <p>The idea with silk pillowcases is that they don't strip the moisture out of your hair the way cotton does, which results in less tangling and breakage. I'm hoping that, come winter, it helps maintain moisture levels in my skin too.</p> <p>Thanks for all the thumbs up (I'm on the go so it's hard to respond individually). I'm wearing another swooshy skirt outfit today. That olive green color is one I wear occasionally as a neutral or an accent color because it matches my eyes. DD12 has decided it's one of *her* colors too, though her eyes are blue. I've been using a silk pillowcase for a couple months, and the result is that I really don't do anything to it anymore, apart from wet it in the shower and wash it weekly or thereabouts. I'm not even using my salt spray anymore now that my bangs are a bit longer and "trained" to stay put. It did misbehave quite a bit on a recent city trip (5 days in NY and DC), and I'm not sure why. Dirty air? The nasty starchy stuff they put in hotel sheets? I spent the whole time with a big silly cowlick on the back of my head -- which went away as soon as I got home!</p> <p>Runcarla -- yes, this is about as boho as I get! It is summer, after all. The top is such a workhorse, a definite keeper. :)</p> <p>Vildy -- I thrifted the top several years ago. They bookend my sunglasses!</p> <p>The skirt is one of the few pieces I added this summer. It's from Not Perfect Linen, an Etsy shop that has grown in popularity to the point where the wait times are sometimes one or two months. I ordered in June and received my skirt and tank (and two scrumptious waffle weave towels!) in mid-July. I'll show the tank at some point, but I think I want to take up the arm holes a bit (typical alteration for me with sleeveless tops). I love the colour of this skirt, its weight and swishiness, its brass buttons, and it looks great with nearly all of my summer tops. This is my trusty old grunge-y gingham top, secondhand and on it's third summer with me.</p> <p>Haven't trimmed my hair all summer, though it could probably use it. Maybe I'll get around to it between now and Labor Day. Now that I'm past the awkward in-between grow-out stage, I'll probably leave it in bob form til at least next spring. I'm too much of a wimp with the cold to chop my hair in the fall or winter. :D</p> <p>(Bonus stripy photo bomber in the corner there!) </p>
