When neutral patterns are low contrast like this, they read as false solids and almost demand pattern mixing or color, and I'm more comfortable with pattern mixing. Today, I'm finally back to my gray nail polish! Yay!</p> <p>The patterns:<br /> Caslon striped jacket: Two -- one in body and another at cuffs and pocket trim<br /> Striped cami<br /> Top<br /> Scarf -- total workhorse from Target<br /> Houndstooth corduroy jeans<br /> Mosaic clogs<br /> Weird print socks; the polka dot ones also shown did not look as good </p> <p>Normally, I probably would have reduced the number of patterns and maybe worn solid jeans. In strong light these jeans are a cooler gray than top, jacket, and possibly the scarf. Not going out today and my house is dark so I will ignore the issue. </p>
