It’s bold in a confident way. It feels to me like it’s coming from a place of poise. </p> <p>I quite like the black cardigan in terms of the color and general style. My personal preference for myself would be to go one size bigger with it, and then give the sleeves a good roll up. But that’s as much a physical comfort thing for me as a visual one. I kinda like the idea of having different dress silhouettes for work/play; I don't have a work environment that would really make that reasonable but I could see that, if I did, it could definitely help keep those wardrobe separate (mine are allllll jumbled together ). A white denim jacket or cropped cardi would be super with this dress, especially if wearing with metallic or nude footwear. The dress is one of my favorite brands (Lauren Ralph Lauren), but fit and flare style rather than the sheath style I favor for work. That and the print seem to make it a little less "business" looking. On the down side, it doesn't seem to be quite as figure flattering (in my eyes). The topper is certainly not needed for the outside temps, but indoor AC requires it, as usual. I'm noticing that I'd like to get some metallic wedge sandals for the occasions I wear a summer dress and don't have to be on my feet all day. All I have are flat shoes suitable for work.</p> <p>Constructive criticism welcome. Thanks for looking! </p>
