But I still tried to get in the spirit and dressing in holiday colors! Didn't get to take the kids anywhere today, but at least I dressed them in red, white and blue PJs for bedtime. They're still kind of young to stay up for fireworks anyways. Maybe next year! Then just as I was planning to go to bed, I got a page that I had to go in to the hospital to do a procedure on someone who had gotten some steak in stuck in his throat. So I had to go in at 1 am to dislodge the meat (I figured there was a pretty high chance I'd have to go in, given all the barbeques for July 4! Thanksgiving is another risky holiday to be on call). I just threw on an outfit, but still kept with the color theme, inspired by Angie's Ultra Causal Blue and White post. I bought this sweater on sale at the Gap, but they forgot to take the magnetic anti-theft tag off, so I had to bring it back in. They gave me an additional discount because I had to come back in, so I ended up getting the sweater for $12! Not bad!
