I originally got them in the olive, but I decided they were too big, and when I went back, my size was only available in this color. I waffled for a while on whether to keep them but today decided to cut the tags. After taking a good hard look at my summer shorts and pants, and getting rid of some old ones, I decided these would fill a hole for some light colored, lightweight but long summer bottoms. </p> <p>Aida, I'd call the black top more of a tee than a blouse -- Jersey fabric body but the sleeves are a lighter woven material. I'm kind of feeling the cold shoulder look now, but I'm really picky about how I want to do it. Nothing too boho, or too slinky. Casual errand running outfit. I hemmed and hawed over keeping these pants but they are so comfortable and lightweight and fit so well I decided to wear them. I like the pinstripe. This is an old necklace -- I can't even remember where it came from or when. But I wanted to pick up the mix of neutrals from the pants and shoes. </p> <p>Bonus photo of a new bargain purchase -- a black cold shoulder top that fits very well but the arm fabric was way too loose and floppy. This photo is from my tailor's fitting room after she pinned the arms into the length they will be after alteration. </p> <p>It's warm today but low humidity for a change, so I wore my hair straight. I wish it did this more naturally but I can switch it up from time to time, at least. </p>
