(And love both tops as well!)</p> <p>I think the proportions of Outfit 2 are a bit more pleasing to my eye because in #1 the clothing seems almost to be half and half (half top half bottom). I am sensitive to this because of my shorter legs and always look for ways to diminish the effect. Having said that, here is is not unflattering because you have styled it all so expertly. That is what I aim for and sometimes fail to achieve with my bermuda length shorts.
