You look a mile tall in #1, and elegantly casual. So fab and my favorite. Also love #5. The plaid pants do work well on you--I'd experiment with some other tops, maybe buttonfront shirt under the vest, or a shorter fitted shirt. I still like the gray dress--maybe it's too 60's short for you? I think you wear it well. I don't know that the color needs to differ, but having the texture differ would be good. Or if you do a similar texture (is it knit?) then go with a different scale of it. What other cropped jackets do you have? Denim is a ubiquitous choice as well. The little fuzzy sweater and the flares seem to be favorites. I'm so surprised I love the flared jeans / pants so much. Maybe I am a 60s <b>and</b> 70s gal.</p> <p><b>Lisap:</b> I almost included some coat pictures! It was a COLD week, and I had two choices: pink peacoat or tan cocoon. I wore the pink peacoat with 1 and 4 (great with the flares, adds to the 70s vibe); I wore the cocoon coat with 3 and 5 (interestingly, it worked just as well with cuffed BF jeans and with skinnies), and on #2 day I stayed inside. :)</p> <p><b>Ummlila: </b>I am still figuring the plaid pants out. Una wore hers with citron, so I will try mine with the citron sweater. I am also planning to wear them with a chambray shirt, my navy BF merino turtleneck from JCrew, a darkgrey batwing sweater from Vince, a grey graphic tee with a cardigan. That's my plan thus far.</p> <p><b>Aida: </b>I love the cropped jacket idea with the shift. Maybe my little black leather jacket from Tory Burch? Or were you thinking of a different color / texture. I found it a very valuable exercise and one I will probably continue -- because focusing on silhouette, with color as a secondary consideration, was really helpful to me. It made me put a lot of energy into my closet and while it was not easy, it brought me back to the fun of dressing.</p> <p>In creating silhouettes, I thought about the shape of the top, the shape of the leg, and footwear.</p> <p>Day 1: Long fuzzy sweater over Paige flare denim with Franco Sarto booties.</p> <p>Day 2: Madewell wool shift over CM wool sweater with ribbed tights and Frye harness booties. Although I love this dress, this was my least favorite look of the week. I may need to find news ways to wear this dress, or perhaps I have grown beyond it.</p> <p>Day 3: Old AE plaid shirt, chevron quilted cropped sweatshirt, Gap BF jeans, Everybody booties.</p> <p>Day 4: Three Dots colorblock tee shirt, LL Bean plaid pants, Cole Haan booties.</p> <p>Day 5: Anthropologie citron sweater, JCrew skinny black jeans, Aqualitalia tall boots.</p> <p>I am surprised at how much I am enjoying the longer, wider leg profile. It was very interesting to me.</p> <p>I'm going to try another week of this, although probably not this week because of travel and the holiday.
