Your outfit is gorgeous, Tanya, but what a shame about the staining. You've had plenty of advice for dealing with the marks, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works.

Oh, no Tanya! That's such a shame. we have something similar to Oxiclean here in the UK, so I would definitely try that if I were you. I think you look so great in your outfit too. What a great combo. How fab that Angie is sporting the same too

I'd try Carbona color run remover. Carbona makes removers specific to types of stains. Most stain removers are generalists. I've had really really good results with them. Sold at Safeway and on Amazon.

Wow . . . you people are full of great suggestions that are so much easier than what I do.

I'm a soap and water girl and acquired leather dye off a shoulder bag rubbing on my white jeans. I scrubbed the stain with a nail brush loaded with Sunlight soap, tossed the jeans in with the whites and machine washed. Stain was gone . . . unfortunately so are the jeans due to my "blossoming" as I've aged <ggg>.

Best wishes for your stain removal and I hope your jeans finish up bright white.

Try oxiclean, it's a non-chlorine stain remover (often called a non-chlorine bleach) and doesn't seem to damage anything white I've tried it with. I've soaked my white Loft skinnies in a solution of a half to a third cup of the powder and a gallon or two of water left overnight (I'm filling a big pot and soaking other things too, it's not an exact science) multiple times and they seem fine after a cold water wash and hanging to dry.

I'd try a magic eraser first, then the shout stain remover. There's a version of the shout that comes in a stick form (like a giant glue stick) that is I think more concentrated and you can rub it in and scrub a bit before tossing in the wash. I've managed to get ground in lipstick out of a light colored rug with it.

I wouldn't use bleach as it can turn things yellow.

Eta: cold water wash and no dryer/heat until you know the stain is gone.

What about using those sheets that go in the washer and absorb dye. I don't know if they would work in this situation. Maybe use as a last resort. I would be leery about using bleach. I would be afraid of yellowing.

That's a great springtime outfit! Bummer about the color transfer. I've had that happen, and the color washed out in the regular laundry. Try just washing it as you normally would, maybe with a little stain remover (Shout or something) sprayed on the area with the dye. I hope it comes out!

It has been pretty cold this whole week here but today I decided to be brave and wear my favorite cutout booties despite the low temperatures. I have the same BR denim shirt dress as Angie's one featured on today's blog post and I wore it over cropped white LOFT skinnies. I also added a chunky pearl/ribbon BR necklace, JC cutout booties, my trusty silver RM satchel and white MK watch. I wore a navy wool coat over the whole thing outside but did not take a photo of it. My feet got just a tad chilly but I was fine.

Unfortunately, when I got home I noticed that a lot of the indigo dye from the shirt dress has transferred onto my brand new white skinnies- I only wore them once before. I am very upset about this and would really appreciate any advice on how to remove the dye from the jeans. The skinnies are 97% cotton, 3% spandex and the tag say to wash cold and use only non-chlorine bleach.
