Interesting that so many folks like the pale combo #5 (food for thought!). A picture is worth a thousand words and I agree about the dress in #3. This is year 3 for it, and I was kind of surprised how 'flabby' and worn it felt when I wore it. Probably shrunk a bit over time as well since it is 100% cotton (Loft). Time to edit it out - I've got my value from it and I've got other summer dresses, in non-black.</p> <p>I like how in the 'Vivienne Files' capsules are built up in units of 4 garments of the same colour. Whenever I do a seasonal shop and decide to audition a new colour, I try to collect 4 items in that colour so that I can give it a good run. This spring I decided to give blush a try, since there is so much of it out there. I should be doing more skin care. I am starting with a small capsule this week (12 items) 4 black, 4 white, 2 blush, 1 grey, 1 Jean) </p> <p>Black Zara embroidered bomber<br /> Black skirt with lace detail<br /> Black cotton tank dress<br /> Black cutoff jeans<br /> White cotton sweater<br /> White shorts<br /> White jeans<br /> White jean jacket<br /> Blush lace tank<br /> Blush chinos<br /> Grey 3/4 sleeve T<br /> Jean jacket</p> <p>I've only worn 9 from the list so far. (It was too wet/rainy to get out my whites - White shorts, white jeans, white jean jacket). Also, there were two clean the office//purge days where jeans were suggested! </p> <p>I will probably wear the white shorts and the black cut-off jeans this weekend with the grey t and white sweater.</p> <p>Next week I plan to add 4 new items in blue, bringing my capsule up to 16.</p> <p>I'm also in week 3 of following a new skin care regime, and making a concerted effort at wearing lippy every day. Alas, after a 12 hour day and a week of high humidity I'm a bIt wrinkled and frizzed out, but hanging in! </p>
