I bought it especially to work with my consignment tweedy jacket, but I knew it would work with many other items also. I popped the collar outside my jacket lapels and also showed the sleeves on top of my cuffed jacket cuffs. </p> <p>Today I paired it with my print knit skirt. This is one of my few remaining A-lines. For some reason it seems to work better for me than many others do, these days, maybe because the fabrication is so soft that it doesn't stand out stiffly from my body, or maybe just because the colours are so vivid and versatile. It is also designed by a woman. I got it at Fresh Collective in Toronto (<a href="http://www.freshcollective.com/designers/" rel="nofollow">http://www.freshcollective.com/designers/</a>) and it is made by Mandala Design: Modern Clothing, Vintage Vibe (<a href="http://www.mandaladesign.ca/" rel="nofollow">http://www.mandaladesign.ca/</a>). You have seen it a bunch of times before; I find it is a great MOTG skirt. It's lined in a nice soft fabric and I literally feel as if I am wearing loungewear when I have it on (except for footwear, etc.) I have added a wide black belt for some waist definition (and also to hide the skirt's elastic waist!) </p> <p>Wearing it with my Marilyn Anselm for Hobbs black crepe jacket. I know the jacket is a bit long for dresses, especially with an A-line, perhaps, but I'm hoping the nipped in waist makes it work okay. </p> <p>Nude microfishnets. And to ground it all, my Doc Saras! They got LOTS of comments at the lunch. </p> <p>So, what do you think? Does it work for the occasion? Fun and flirty, or too vintage-precious? </p>
