I think my best look was with a almost-matching or tonal dress and tall brown boots, so that the tights were a minor, complementary element. Boots and a neutral outfit might work as well. With ballet flats they are going to tend costume for sure - although I did love the Obama girls' tonal coat/tights/flats look at the inauguration, I believe it was. Voila: outfit #2.</p> <p>It's good that I did take them off, since I ended up going barefoot in the streets a few times to deal with the 4 inches of water on my block!</p> <p>In other musings, this is the boxiest blouse that I own, and I only wear it tucked in.
