(I was a teenager in the 90s, what can I say?). Today I paired my red Docs with this interesting, double-layered Victorianish skirt. I have trouble styling this skirt sometimes because of the brown/pink color combo (not really my colors) and the fact that the detailing means any tops have to be tucked in. I had the crazy idea to pair my plaid riding jacket with it (hey, it has brown elbow patches so it matches the brown, right?) and I actually really liked the Victorian vibe it gave. Added a burgundy tee underneath to pull in the color of the boots. </p> <p>So today I am juxtaposing 1890s Victorian style with 1990s grunge style! And the fact that the jacket is plaid just kind of bridges these two eras!</p> <p>(I do feel like this outfit might border on the costumey, am I'm sure I'll get some looks at work, but I don't mind that every once in a while.)</p> <p>Max&amp;Mia jacket, ??? tee, La Redoute skirt, ??? brown tights, Doc Marten clemency boots. </p>
