This is such a flattering colour palette for you. My particular favourites are #3 (lovely necklaces, height of V of tee, position of cardi collar - just all works well together) and #1 (contrast of your chain against the dark pieces). Today I was in the PATH (Toronto underground shopping city) and one of the Express windows for S/S is all black and cobalt (and stripes), and the Massimo Duttie window featured a manikin with cobalt capris, white shirt, cognac jacket and footwear. They are elegant and not boring at all -- think of them as signature looks. A formula (of the best kind) varied subtly each time you wear it. The colors, especially with silver jewelry and the stripey scarf up top, are magnificent with your hair. My least favorite is 4, but only because the others are both bolder and so gracefully done, and that's so unusual to be both. AM, I think you nailed it with the "safe".  This is how I used to dress, all the time, and what I refer to as my FFBO look.  But I am realizing that I don't fall back to this nearly as much anymore, which is a good thing. tr3kkie9rl, I know what you mean, and every time I see a pic I wonder why I'm keeping it.  I do find the texture of the stripes photograph a bit weird, so make me look very thick and lumpy around my middle.  It doesn't actually do this (as much anyway ) in real life.  But point taken, it's not the best.  I just love the colour. AT vest, Zara top, and old ink trousers.. 2.  Black ponte pants, halogen tunic sweater.  Funny fuzzy scarf thing.  I wanted to be cozy! 3.  EF dark cobalt cardigan, NYDJ leggings, BR top. 4.  BR plaid shirt, Costco sweater, old mexx black trousers.  5.  Again to be cozy... the Vince moto leggings, Lululemon cardigan, and BR scarf.  More cobalt in the scarf... So this was a lot of dark, and a lot of cobalt, but I was okay with that.  It's just when I see them all lined up here that it seems a bit boring. Anyone else lost in the bowels of winter dressing?  As always, suggestions for improvements, and any other comments are welcome!
