I have read too many articles about how MRIs are overused, how sports docs are sort of making it up as they go along, etc. etc. I guess I did see a DO with the first one, and she said "oh, frozen shoulder, go to physical therapy 3x/week for the next several months and see what happens." Essentially, my shoulder was immobile/painful from overuse; PT followed by work with a bodywork/energy/alternative approach woman did the trick, over the course of maybe 4-5 months. With my left shoulder, I injured it and ended up with frozen shoulder too. I have avoided the DO and the PT, and have worked with the bodywork woman on it, doing the PT exercises I learned before at home every day. It's maybe 75% better now, after about 6 months of weekly treatment.</p> <p>I wonder if some people are built a certain way so that they are more susceptible to injuries of various body parts? For some it might be their knees, others their ankles, etc.</p> <p>Perhaps this is TMI, but just thought I'd share in case it's helpful :). Good luck getting your situation sorted out. Actually, I got an MRI a couple of months ago (my climbing partner just had rotator cuff surgery...) and my rotator cuff is fine, so we are trying to figure out the problem - just got a steroid shot to see if it's a bone rubbing against a tendon that is causing pain and inflammation. Blargh. Did it take forever for you to figure out what was going on with yours? It is not the best quality but it is really adorable. Not my normal MO, I know! I figure it's perfect for days when I volunteer at DS's school. To brighten and for warmth, I'm wearing it with a cropped red sweater that I found at F21 on sale for $5. This sweater is EXACTLY what I would knit if I could knit. I've been looking for something like this all my life - the wide crop, the color, the neckline. It was a sample so it doesn't even have a tag... it was like a lucky thrifting find.
