I love that these pants combine black, navy, grey, and brown so that I can mix just about any of my neutral tops, jackets and footwear with them. This time I went for black and blue.</p> <p>Paired with Equipmemt navy silk tunic top, BCBG black jacket, Topshop booties, and a soft blue leather clutch I bought in Amsterdam. The necklace proved to be an issue, as it kept catching on the buttons of my top, so I changed it out to another pendant (pic 6), which also has all the neutrals in it. However, that necklace ended up doing the same thing -- even causing the button to come undone a couple of times yesterday! Fortunately, I was wearing a tank top underneath. I think the issue is really that the buttonholes are a bit too large for the buttons (or the buttons too small for the holes, depending on your perspective). I've encountered this a lot with silk shirts in the last couple of years -- anyone else? To prevent further wardrobe malfunctions, I've actually added stitches to buttonholes on some tops.</p> <p>Meant to add that I wore this for a little bit of Christmas errand/shopping, and then to the annual print swap/holiday party for my local ASMP chapter (photographers). It was a fun night, and I felt appropriately casual/festive. </p>
