My mid 80s and early 90s looks included tons of long, drop yoked skirts paired with slouchy sweaters (but with deep ribbed hems fitted over the yoke of the skirt) and either a favourite pair of cowboy boots or low-heeled pumps. I repeated the look a bit in the 2000s with this skirt and an AH-MAZING pair of brown and bronze cowboy boots that sadly no longer work for my feet. I also cycled through several tops trying to come up with a weight and colour that felt right. </p> <p>Blazer - menswear, Calvin Klein, thrifted<br /> Merino sweater - Tahari new this year<br /> Pant - same ancient ponte pants that now fit like joggers.<br /> Scarf - vintage from my mom. Had it in my closet forever. This might be the first time I actually wore it.<br /> Pin — a throwback from the early 2000s.<br /> Boots - Blundstone chisel toe</p> <p>#2 todays office outfit.<br /> Blazer - thrifted menswear. The same one from last week’s post. I wanted to try it with this skirt.<br /> Random yellow sweater - Winners this year.<br /> Brown velvet skirt - another holdover from the early 2000s. One of the great lives of my life.<br /> Brown boots - Timberland. Several years old.<br /> Necklace - cheap and cheerful. -possibly from Forever 21. Or maybe JCPenney. I thought the pattern kind of mirrored the pattern in the jacket. </p> <p>Both looks were experiments. Suggestions for tweaks/improvements welcome. </p> <p>Thanks for looking! </p>
