Could you layer lighter under it to keep it from being too heavy to wear more often? Also, I agree that a down vest would make it much easier to layer - I use my vest all the time in cold weather for this same reason. Love the smart wool socks - I have several pair in various patterns. The jeans are too low rise to be trendy, but are still comfortable. I changed up this outfit several times during the day subbing a velvet jacket, then a wool sweater-jacket for more warmth on a cold snowy day, black weatherproof boots for snow, and removed the longest gold necklace as too much. I did like the gold and grey better than I thought I would and wore gold large hoop earrings and my gold KS bag.
