It’s Vince cashmere, fairly heavy weight but not overly warm because the sleeves are ¾ length and flare out to a very slight ruffle. I’m not sure how easy it is to see the overall shape, which is what I really like about it. Vince of course does not do petite sizing (sad face); it was designed for an average height person in an empire style with a not-too-long and slightly flared/curved lower half. On me the empire waist hits me closer to my real waist and the length is a bit below the hip. I don't generally wear toppers longer than the crotch point but I don't always follow that rule when the bottom half is open.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>As I said it must be quite a few years old, and the shape is surely not a current trend, but I think it is really flattering on me and I think I’ll end up wearing it a lot. I wish I could find structured jackets with this sort of shape!! </p> <p>Worn with my new Thalian black/grey checked pants (very small checks) in a thick knit from TJmaxx, and the Loft red print blouse I rarely wear because it feels like too much red. In this outfit there is only a little bit of red showing and the pattern goes well with the checks of the pants. I also like how the red blouse showing a little helps to emphasize the shape of the sweater. </p> <p>Worn with Blondo black suede booties, and pulled out my black MK short winter coat (not a super warm coat but warm enough) and a scarf I bought at that same consignment store on a different visit. We had below freezing temps for about 48 hours here – a taste of January and it’s not even mid November! . </p> <p>For a brief fleeting moment, I wished I had a bright red bag. Hmmm… I must pay attention to see if that feeling comes back :-)&nbsp;</p> <p>Comments &amp; suggestions welcome as always. </p>
