Lovely! Looks very J. Crew to me, not too young or sexy at all. LOVE the turkey.

I know this is chiming in a bit late, but I'm so loving this outfit on you, Natalie! Adore the autumn palette against that clear blue, and the pendant actually makes me think 'firebird', which is also very apt for the season of bonfires.

I can't get over my amazed at how well you have integrated your pre-pregnancy wardrobe into your pregnancy style! That skirt for instance!

Also, if this is 'sexy office', I'll have a slice too, please! (Seriously, do think it was meant in an complimentary way, as "sexy"='not frumpy or starchy')

Cute outfit! I don't think your skirt looks too short, especially with tights. It looks office appropriate to me. I love your necklace - very turkey-ish!

I think this look is office appropriate, unusual because people hesitate to wear brights to work, a pity because it puts everyone in a better mood! And I don't think it's just sexy, it's being sharply dressed! Body conscious outfits usually draw attention, and worn in pregnancy calls for more! You look gorgeous! The turkey looking peacock is cute detail and you should keep dressing the way you do because it suits you well!

Oh! The colors are so pretty in this outfit. Not to youthful or too sexy. The older lady may not be used to seeing a pregnant woman in a body con outfit. Remember maternity clothes used to look like tents.

Have no regrets because this outfit is truly fab! I loved your description too. No, this is not mutton dressed as lamb, this is delightful. I was going to try for a "peacock dressed as turkey" joke but I just couldn't make it happen, sorry.

I love the brighter colors on bottom, with more subdued-ness on top. That is unexpected, and it works great. Take that woman's heartfelt compliment and run with it!

I don't think it's too young or sexy - though it's very bright! Perhaps she meant you are not subdued? Sexy has different contexts generationally.... YLF!

It doesn't seem too sexy to me-I'm sure it was meant as a compliment.

Love those shades on you! I wore a sweater that same shade today.

More fun with autumn colors! Today I wore a teal sweater with my orange and mustard tile pencil skirt (it's stretchy), and layered a maternity shirt with a faux white collar/sleeve/tails underneath. (You can see a hint of the fuschia color of the shirt in #3). I used mustard colored ribbed tights underneath for more coverage because the skirt looked a little short with bare legs, and brown ankle booties and leather satchel briefcase. Oh, and a peacock pendant (it kind of looks like a turkey, so I thought it was seasonally appropriate!). I thought it looked kind of preppy with the collared shirt and sweater and "schoolbag" satchel and cheery with the bright autumn colors. And I was happy to still be able to use my sweater and pencil skirt (I know they might stretch out, but I can't save everything "just in case" because then I'll never wear my clothes!)

But then at work I had some second thoughts...is this look too young (aka mutton dressed as lamb)? And I was going in to a patient's room and the family member of the other patient in the room said, "Wow, you're the sexiest doctor I've ever seen!" Um, OK...not the look I was shooting for, but thanks...The lady who said it looked like she was in her 70's so it was probably just an innocent compliment.

But what do you think? Work appropriate or not? Comments and critiques welcome--thanks!
