They are all fairly wide 70s-80s ties, so I guess they’ll stay under sweaters, etc for now. Nikki, cool look to wear it so long. One day when the world is safe for 4” ties to come out, I’ll have to try that. CarolS, interesting. It feels to me like it doesn’t take much to add interest in summer, and the body’s own shape can be shape enough. But in winter with so much fabric, more is needed to make a difference. Guess it’s a proportions thing. Anyway, I’m working on winters. I like your idea about a tighter knot, will try it next time. Minaminu and cat2, glad you like the pearls. Wasn’t sure if I’d crossed the line between “playful” and “childish”. Dee, you see the grey too? I feel like there is grey in the sweater, but every time I try to hone in on it, that particular splotch turns out to be green. This is so true. Layering adds interest. It lets you add shape, colour, contrast, etc.  This is why you will hear many forum members say they struggle with summer dressing -- because it is harder in hot weather to add the interest that comes with the magic third piece. I am here for it! The only consistency here is “something around my neck”. Purely unintentional , but that’s how things worked out. What do you think? For cool weather, I’m still trying to add some swish and maybe a little drama. Not sure why I don’t find that necessary in warm weather. Maybe because the shape of the body can be seen, so I don’t need the fabric to add shape?
