Amazing how I can FINALLY wear that colour, as long as it's combined with a typical winter neutral (like black). I've always liked that black/beige combo in prints so it's really great to finally be able to wear them! But yes - tops would be my first refreshers since it's close to the face!</p> <p>@celia: we MUST do it!!!! He's a really good friend as well and has amazing energy. I never knew what haircut I was getting when I came to him yesterday. For the last 7 years, he's had free reign with my hair and each visit is always a surprise! That's how much I trust him with my hair!</p> <p>@lisap: that's really smart! I actually lucked out that my current "neutral" lipstick shade still works with this look and so does black eyeliner. As for the clothes - I just have a very picky eye. If something clashes in the ensemble, it would bother me. Lucky for me, the blacks still work on me (which is pretty much most of my wardrobe). I just wouldn't be wearing high contrast black/white much and replacing my jewel tones (which clash with the hair) with more autumnal, earthier shades.</p> <p>And yes, my stylist is handsome, isn't he? </p> <p>@diana: you definitely strike me as someone who can shift from autumn to winter! It's great because you can just switch up the colours based on your mood! I'm a true winter so shifting to autumn usually makes me look weird. With this look, I find that wearing makeup on a daily basis us essential (I don't mind. I love makeup!) otherwise I could look washed out! I do think, next time I'll go for a more ashy brown than a warmer brown though. But the warm colours don't really look so bad and the lighter hair sort of balances out my pale skin!</p> <p>@christieann: yup! I often go with what flatters the skintone. I did want to try a warm tone for a while though so this is a welcome change! </p> <p>@bj1111: my stylist did it :p I'm a gimp with hair styling, haha!</p> <p>@claire: if you're ever in Toronto, let me know! I definitely became more of an autumn during those years. </p> <p>Even now though I can shift pretty easily between autumn and winter, particularly if I have a bit of a tan. The winter colors emphasize my dark hair, whereas the autumn colors play up my golden skin.
