I can't remember whether we've watched 2 or 3 seasons. I have visited the Orkney islands and they had a similar vibe, especially the partially nordic/viking history.  Plus BBC dramas are top notch and that actor who plays the main character is so good.... It is nice to see how good a dark color can look on a fair person. I think the white print really makes it work well. I am quite fair and love darker tones, but when I wear them they often seem to feel "heavy". I am taking notes to try breaking up darker solids with lighter prints. I like how the pattern is subltle but kind of a statement too. I have little success with fit at Anthro, but every once in a while I find something I love that actually fits me. Like the handbag and sandals too, the know the jacket would have worked as well. I think this dress is very flattering; the diagonal lines are a classic flattery technique, aren't they? I wouldn't have guessed the dress is from Anthro; I do like a lot of their styles, but many are too boho for me, too. Those sandals are really nice. I really appreciate how much your clothes fit you not too tight and not too loose but they actually fit your body. It's enough pattern mixing going on in here if that's your thing. It does not quite follow traditional figure flattery guidelines for my body type but I I like it a lot. It's easy to style in a dressy way with shoe/handbag choices, but this time I wanted to "casualize" it, so went with flat gladiator sandals and a hobo bag. The print is so bold that I did not want to add any other color or pattern. Wore to a small birthday dinner for a friend at a Vietnemese restaurant followed by a movie. I had planned to bring my white denim jacket, and wished I had it in the cool movie theater, but I left it home on the couch This dress is a good example of why I keep going back to Anthropolgie even though most of their clothes are a bit to far in the boho or embellished direction for my liking. Comments and suggestions always welcome!
