So I think I will start experimenting with darker blues and browns. </p> <p>I am also reassured about the knits here. </p> <p>Fashionista, sewing the bottom is a great idea, and I will give it a try. I get it colored, as well, and, like, Shiny, I go back and forth with the lowlights and highlights. When I have to get a lot of lowlights, I can't stand it for at least a few days, and I have the same exact reaction that Shiny does. Suz has such a good suggestion about making no decisions for at least three days. I'm going to try that myself next time. I hope you're able to get comfortable with it because it looks great. And, if not, as others have said, short hair grows really fast, and you can change up the cut and the color to something you like better. This last time that I had lowlights done, I told my stylist not to do the dark brown that she usually likes to do because I was feeling like it made me look ill, so she did a dark red underneath the blonde, and I liked it sooo much better. My hairdresser alternates, highlights one cut, lowlights the next. It's gentler this way, means you aren't bleaching hair every time (only every other time). We also tweak it seasonally -- lower in the winter, higher in the summer. I always go into shock when I get the lowlights, because it seems so dramatically different to me! Where did my blonde go??? But within a week or two, I'm all calmed down about it. Because the color mellows down -- and also I get used to it!</p> <p>Your colorist did an awesome job, it's quite flattering, and I went and looked at your recent pics -- it is really not that dramatically different than before.
