Is it one of your "10" outfits--maybe not but that is certainly my story on a lot of days. If I always left with a 10 I'd never try new combinations or things to fit my mood and the weather.</p> <p>I agree that the things that might be putting you off are that this jacket does not have as sharp a shoulder as some of your jackets. To me, fully-buttoned, 2- or 3- button jackets are hard for most people to pull off on a good day, and especially now that one-button, low-stance jackets are showing up. So you're not getting as much waist and shoulder definition as in some of your other jackets. You might like to try it unbuttoned as more of a structured cardi look. And a more open neckline does the same sort of thing.</p> <p>These are all tweaking parts of outfit experimentation. For me, the turtleneck in the same color as the jacket makes it look like your shoulders slope from mid-neck down. Look at the difference in how your shoulders looked yesterday...there was no slope. DH snapped the pic on the way out the door, so I didn't see it until I was uploading (no time to change).</p> <p>Talbots mixed media blazer with matching turtleneck (originally chosen so as not to break up the color), Talbots bootcut trousers, Sam petty booties, local artist (who happens to be a work associate) bracelet and necklace.</p> <p>I felt pretty good in this leaving the house. I was even proud of how I had matched the Petty's to the gry pants rather than falling back on black booties.</p> <p>However, the picture makes the pants look too small (they aren't, I actually sized up in these). The jacket looks sloppy to my eye, and I don't know why. I literally tried on&nbsp;8 of these, and I got the thumbs up from my mother, sister, and the sales associate on this size. </p> <p>I will try posting pic later with the jacket off (it is <i>freezing </i>here again -5F this morning on my way in, and they have the office heat <i>cranked</i>). </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Updated:&nbsp; Added the picture without the jacket.</p>
