Thank you all for the lovely feedback.

Deborah, I've tried tying one of these scarves (I bought 3) in cravat style but it don't do much justice to the outfit. Will post a photo soon.

Mandipa, always appreciate your in-depth analysis of an outfit. I find black trousers to be my one of my "office/work wardrobe" basics since I can team them up with any top. Also, you're right about the length, not ankle-length, just a little longer. However, there's no scope for alteration now since the tailor already cut it to that length (when I'd initially given the trousers for alteration). Also, I'll try tying the scarf in infinity style.

Suz, merci! You're too generous with your compliments :)

Angie, thank you so much for the feedback. It's always great to get your opinion on the outfits.

Gingko, thank you. I think scarves are my favourite accessory and I love playing around with them.

I love the collar on your coat - very flattering. I admire how you tie your outfits together with the colors in your scarf and have been trying to do the same thing myself.

I'm so impressed by how well you make the pastel blue work with black, just by adding a scarf in the right colours. (I have a horrid time matching my black pants to anything up top, to the point that I decided this year to zero in on charcoal instead.)

Have you ever tried making a mock-infinity scarf or a 'necklace' out of this particular scarf? Basically just knot the diagonally opposite corners together and slip on. You can twist the scarf's 'body' to different degrees to shorten it as well. An ornate hair barette or orphaned belt buckle or large brooch can become a 'pendant', if you want.

Just one thought, if you don't mind: It could be just the way you are standing, perhaps, but I feel the hem on those pants could stand to be taken down just a smidge, even with flats, so that it 'breaks' on your instep. Would that be too unwieldy or impractical? (From the photo, they seem to be just on the ankle...)

That is a gorgeous coat and colour on you:). I don't wear scarves like that but I wonder if you could try wearing it cravat style?

I wore my icy blue (pastel) coat with my black trousers for work a few weeks ago. To add interest, I wore my silk scarf which has a lot of blue with some gold and black. Shoes were simple gray flats and the bag in the photo is a blue Zara bag, although that day I carried my usual big, neutral bag.

This scarf is a little difficult to ti/wear as it's essentially a long rectangular strip of cloth and is cut diagonally in the end. I sometimes tie it like a bow around the neck. Any suggestions on other ways to tie/wear this scarf? Always looking forward to your feedback.

And sorry for that blotch on my trousers which is from the camera/lighting.
