Well, usually in we wear sarees in Indian weddings, so Anarkalis or salwaar-suits are less formal/dressier. However, nowadays people here have started experimenting a lot with traditional drapes and we see a lot of Indo-western/fusion outfits on weddings and other wedding-related functions. That being said, I'm planning to do a post on my blog wherein I'll compile photos of wedding related attire. Also, people wear lehenga (long/maxi skirt) choli (blouse) dupatta (stole) at weddings- I wore one to my cousin's wedding. And while I love<br /> getting dressed up in full Indian gear, I’m just about getting tired of the<br /> whole shebang.</p> <p>So I wore this gorgeous<br /> yellow anarkali to a friend’s wedding sometime in the first week of February. I<br /> absolutely love the colour, and the fact that the anrakali has full sleeves is<br /> an advantage, especially in the nippy weather. </p> <p>I forgot to get a photo<br /> of the back of the anarkali, but it’s just gorgeous with embroidery throughout<br /> the back (much like the embroidery on the sleeves). I kept the accessories simple with pearl earrings and gold bangles.<br /> For footwear I ditched the gold heels and chose my comfy berry shoes. Another<br /> thing that I put a little effort into was my hairstyle. I tried to do a French braid<br /> in the front and then gathered the hair back in to a bun.
