Dark, but beautiful! Different textures are still very different, so not boring, or dull at all! Love the subtle shine(smoothness) of the blazer, and brooche is also fun! YLF, Celia!!!
This would be my first ever choice to pair the burgundy blazer with(for casuals), then would wear it with plain whites, greys, blushes, and navies, too-but a print which includes the basic colors(black and burgundy) can be of a real help, too:-)

I like the suggestions above. Also wanted to add that cognac accessories (shoes, bag) might help lighten up the burgundy.

Pretty twinset concept. How about a cranberry, pink or orange scarf? Animal print footwear will offset the darkness of the outfit too.

And I'll take a side order of jalapeno hamachi and unagi nigiri.

Blush is a lovely idea. My issue is that I like deeper colors close to my face but don't really like to wear the lighter colors that contrast with them on the bottom half.

I love tone on tone with different textures. How about adding a scarf, maybe in a silvery shade. Burgundy looks so rich on its own that I hesitate to add a much different color. To lighten, besides silver or dove grey, how about blush?

Dear YLF

The weather has been blissfully warm here ( comparatively speaking since this is Canada). The fact that I can actually wear this outside is a festive side to the outfit. Added to that the fact that this pants still fit my festive mood was over the roof already , but I added the brooch I bought with Kari when she visited us for an extra something.
Although I like the tone on tone of the blazer and blouse I find the whole outfit too dark. What color could I have added somewhere to make it more interesting? This is a recurring issue I have with burgundy.
Thank you for looking.
ETA, yes I was at a Sushi restaurant :0)
