Laura, Lyn 67, and Angela K- Thank you for the feedback on the cardigan- just reinforces my own decision to keep it and wear it.
As far as the sweater, maybe I will try a white shirt undershirt or a layering Vince shirt which is also loose on the bottom. Thanks for helping me figure what was off. The white shirt underneath will dress it up for work as well.

I love the outfit with the cardigan. Totally classic and classy. I was just thinking the other day about how cardigans get a bad wrap as being frumpy. I think as with anything its all in how you style it and in the fit. You get high points for both!

Nr 1 is a very flatering classic look, not frumpy-it's just not the latest hit. I wear this kind of outfits all the way to work, still having joy with them.

Nr 2 is a bit tricky to me. The jumper is great on itself, just lacks the sleek connection with the pencil. Can you wear a longer blouse/cami peaking out from under it? Just my 2 cents.

I think the cardigan is a classic - great shape and fit on you. It may not be super-trendy but it still looks good.

I almost want the pullover to be a bit longer, maybe? I so struggle with shapes like this myself; I feel like anything oversized or cabled/chunky ends up making my torso look like a giant box.

I had started a thread about cardigans- should I keep the old here: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-me-decide

I have take some pics for visualization of the cardigan vs pullover.
Pic 1- Fitted cardigan, hip length (planning to keep cardigan because it is nice cashmere and I love the color). I wore this to work
Pic 2 and 3- boxy pullover with pencil skirt. I see this as an update with Angie's formula. (side shows the boxiness of the sweater)

What do you think? Does the cardigan look dated and frumpy? And can I wear the boxy pullover for work?
I appreciate all of your comments. Thanks!
