I love what you say: The kind of items that get me to "there." That is my goal, too. And it can be surprisingly difficult to reach. I found it really instructive to look at the string of photos all together -- it helped me see patterns I hadn't truly been aware of and gives me some good ideas for going forward.

Shedev, this sounds good. I think it's great that you have things you really desire wearing. It's evidence that you are choosing the right things for your wardrobe. Look forward to seeing how your wardrobe reduction progresses.

Top- nine west
Topper- Ella Moss
Jeans- Jag
Boots- Fergie Command

What I learned from the November challenge is that I'm good with repeating an item about every two weeks. I wore the jacket in week 1 and found myself wanting to wear again in week 3. there were a few items like this. if I had just not repeated outfits, I would not have discovered this. Some really basic things like some of my jeans I happily repeat once a week. That doesn't mean I want a closet full of basic things.
I've got a bit of the I'm over fashion bug too, but in my case it's more shopping fatigue. Most of my closet is less than two years old. I have a little less than 300, including lounge and outerwear, so that's at least 150 things in two years. I've only purged a few things as buying mistakes. I'm planning to size down to 240 items in the spring. Some will be not replacing things I wear out. I've already done this with a couple pairs of jeans. To maintain a smaller wardrobe, I'll have to shop less or keep a pretty high purge rate. I think I'm coming to the idea of less but better stuff. I do mean better quality, but I also mean better for my style. The kind of items that get me closer to "there".
