Thanks Kiwichik! My friend brought the scarf back from her trip to China last year. I wear it a LOT.

Rachylou, nothing clever about the color pairings. Just a happy accident because I thought the vest worked with the boots.

I like the bright (blouse) with the drab (vest) A LOT. Very clever. I also like your semi-tuck. The back of the blouse is maybe caught up in the pic, but I like the idea of right side tucked, left side untucked.

Pil I use the semi-tuck fairly liberally, you could probably find lots of examples in my WIW posts Check the first outfit in my post today, that's what I was thinking except actually tuck the top; mine is sort of pushed behind the bow of my belt but it works just as well with the shirt popped into the pants too. Your description sounded right on.

Texstyle, my husband wouldn't even notice whether the shirt was tucked or not. Sometimes, like when I think I may have been shopping too much, this is a good thing : )

Aida, I wasn't sure how to try the tuck. I tried finding pics on the forum but was in a hurry to get out the door so didn't spend much time. So you are saying tuck above the buckle, then hang out on either side?

Very nice! The blouse color is lovely on you. I think I would prefer this particular outfit fully tucked, or perhaps semi-tucked with the tucked bit right above the belt buckle.

About the belt - my belts always have about 2 inches or so extra at the end (I buy them just a little large maybe?) So, yes, I sort of use that as a place to tuck part of the fabric and it seems to work well. The litmus test was that DH even said he liked an outfit I wore with that semi-tuck approach.

Thanks Tracy and Kelly!

Tex, I don't have any extra belt length to play with : ( Are you saying you tuck the shirt between the belt and the flap that lies on top?

Love this! The blouse color is gorgeous on you and looks great paired with the jeans. I especially like it sans vest. I like the semi-tuck a lot!

Pil, I can relate to the clothing mishaps - I have my fair share of small little holes on the fronts of many favorite tops due to a rough spot on my kitchen counter edge or a grease spot because I didn't bother with an apron, etc. And shoes - I agree, as soon as I wear a pair it seems something appears to mark them. I consider it just part of the charm.

Regarding the semi-tuck, what I've found to work for me is to use my belt extra length as part of my tucking concept so in this example of yours, I think my top would be more bunched/tucked right where the extra length of the belt extends and I adjust the fabric under that extension to kind of hold the material at a certain point. It almost looks tucked from the front when I do this. I wish I had a photo to show what I mean.

Anyway - this top is a lovely shade and the outfit looks great!

First wear for my new favorite shirt and thought I'd give the semi tuck a whirl. Not quite sure how it turned out though. The down vest is really too small to snap, so it was the perfect day to wear it open. Jeans are the Canyon River Blues curvy skinnies (these are black though) that Angie posted about recently.

In the realm of welcome to my world this relates to Ironkurtin's post about spending. At dinner some goo from my reuben sandwich ended up on the shirt. I got right on it and fortunately the stain washed out. This was the second wear for the Petty booties (which were a high end purchase for me) and somehow there are two small almost cuts on the top of one where the boot bends at the toes. I have no idea how they got there. So, that is why I don't often spend a lot of money on clothes.
