I limited myself to one pair that I wear on the plane and with every outfit. It makes me appreciate the variety my full closet provides when I'm home, especially since I like to swap my shoes to coodinate with my outfits. (Are you in sales by any chance?) Versatile capsule, and I really like those dark jeans.  I find shoes/boots the biggest challenge when trying to keep to carry-ons. I also bring a few small workout items for the hotel room, and a pair of athletic shoes. All of that adds up quickly. Well done all around! Years of work travel has made me a pro at creating business travel capsules and packing with only a carryon bag. The scarves really help to change up outfits effortlessly and they are so easy to pack. I am looking forward to warmer weather so I can start wearing my new horsey shirt. :) kkards - I have always enjoyed scarves. And scarves are so helpful when traveling, because they are easy to pack and can effortlessly change up the look of an outfit. Thanks for the kind words and for looking! It's simply perfect. :) *happily collects killer rating* Years of work travel has really helped me create a tight business capsule that can mix and match easily and fit into a carryon bag. Practice makes perfect! :) Runcarla - *high five for camel and black love* It's such a classic and pretty color combination.  Jaime - I've become a pro at packing with only a carryon bag for business travel. The trips are usually short enough that I can make a carryon work. If I wheeled a full size suitcase into a business meeting I would definitely get a lot of weird looks, it's just not what people do. However, when it's personal travel I prefer to pack a checked bag, it's so much easier that way. With a carryon you're always worrying about having overhead luggage space for your bag, but with a checked bag, there's nothing to worry about.  JAileen - The most challenging trip I've ever packed for was 2 weeks to Japan with only 1 carryon bag and 1 tote bag. We were limited with luggage sizes because we were using the bullet train to get around the country and that train does not take normal sized luggage only carryon sized bags. Here's my outfits from a recent 3-day work trip. I had 1 carryon bag and 1 laptop bag. #1 - Travel and Meetings I wore this outfit on the plane and walked directly into all day meetings so there was no opportunity to change. Thankfully this day was casual enough to wear jeans to the office. I took this photo when I got to the hotel that evening. I'm wearing a Vince vneck sweater in navy (Coastal), a scoopneck Treasure and Bond tee under the sweater, WHBM Slim Sculpt straight leg jeans, Franco Sarto booties in black, and my Rodier scarf. #2 - Camel Hooded Wool Blend Ellen Tracy Coat and Tumi Voyager Crossbody Bag This wool coat is 9 years old but still in great condition. It works well for business settings. I find Tumi crossbody bags great for travel. Since I can only carry two bags on the plane, the Tumi nylon bags stuff easily into my laptop bag but are stylish enough to look good when worn for work. I wore the same coat and Tumi crossbody bag all 3 days. #3 and #4 - All Day Meetings This was my most formal day, which meant no jeans. I'm wearing black Zella wide leg pants I got at NAS that was an Angie recommendation. These pants work really well dressed up or down. I paired it with my camel Brooks Brothers cashmere cableknit sweater that has a Halogen long sleeve tee underneath. My rails blazer and royal horses printed scarf finished the look. Same Franco Sarto booties as the last outfit. #5 - Travel and Meetings You'll notice a lot of repeating in my work travel outfits. When I only have a carryon bag it's important to have mix and match outfits. I'm wearing the same navy (Coastal) Vince vneck sweater and WHBM Slim Sculpt straight leg jeans as my previous travel day, I simply swapped the scarf for a Caslon plaid shirt and layered a navy Amazon tank underneath the shift. I wore the same black Franco Sarto booties all 3 days.  #6 - New Horsey Shirt I was very happy when I returned home and discovered that the Rails navy horsey shirt that Angie recommended was waiting for me. This is not a styled outfit, I simply wanted to see how the shirt fit. It's a lovely addition to my horsey capsule. Thanks Angie! All, thanks for looking!
