After wearing them for a few hours, the reason was clear - they are way too big around the waist! So today, I spent a few minutes doing that Pinterest hack where you feed an elastic through the waist and secure with a button (similar to those adjustable toddler pants lol) ... and am surprised at how well it worked! So trying these pants again today with the proper waist size to see if I enjoy them more this way, and if so I'll invest in having them properly altered (it will probably cost more than the pants *sigh*).</p> <p>I do recognize that these are about as narrow as a pant could get while still qualifying as wide (the line does more subtly outward, rather than straight), but that seems right for my personal style. I do also find the style a touch 'clumpy' with the Birkies, and would rather a visually slimmer shoe or perhaps a heel ... but frankly I'm wearing neither these days so I'll just deal with the clump factor for now.</p> <p>What do you think? Hit or miss? </p>
