I have a couple of items I genuinely need to replace - I didn't realize my navy ankle pants were a size too small, and I need a new pair of black flats to replace a pair I tossed. But I don't need to add new pieces just for the sake of it anymore. And then of course your white jeans. I agree they look terrific with this black leather moto. But I find the golden sneackers addition especially perfect. It adds an air of youth and insubordination to the outfit, which is very appealing. Have you tried your white jeans with your new red raincoat? I like one and nine, but also notice that both pics show grey items. Maybe it's the color you struggle with? I notice you like popping colors (2-3-4-5). Do you have a scarf or oversize cocktail necklace in a popping color? You could try, with this grey, the new deep, saturated indigo-purplish-blue, or, if you don't want too much contrast, go towards lavender or soft pink. I’m not sure about the rolled jeans and boots with the top half, but the weather was foul and I wanted to look semi-nice</p> <p>7 &amp; 8 patterned pants, again on one of the slightly nicer days</p> <p>9 - a blah outfit from earlier in March. I’m not sure black tal boots work with the grey jeans?</p> <p>10 - tweed dress worn when tired of pants </p> <p>11 - spring skirt worn to see Hamilton (which was to die for)</p> <p>12 &amp; 13 - fun new blue boots </p> <p>The outfits I feel less good about are 1 and 9, which have the same sweater - I think that may just be coincidence, but the sweater is new and maybe I’m struggling to pair it with items more than I realized. Since it’s still kind of wintry outside, I’m dying for more variety but end up in jeans and a warm top a lot. (I’m showing more variety here than I’ve worn, for sure.)</p> <p>I’ve done some spring shopping, with my new ideas about basics etc in mind, but now have to shop my closet for the next month or two. I’m not good at the shopping freeze thing. Gulp. But I have had some recent outlays for other things that have added up (mostly travel). I need time to repair my budget. </p>
