The benefit of filling your wardrobe with flattering dresses can be huge. I was up with my 19mo at midnight. When she went back to sleep, I fell asleep in a chair in her room and woke up this morning feeling just like you would expect someone to feel sleeping all night in a chair. </p> <p>In the past I would have thrown on some jeans and a tshirt, maybe some flip flops, thinking that's about the closet thing to night clothes I could make it out the door with. That's not the choice I made today. </p> <p>Today I wore a dress. Until about 2 years ago you would not have seen me in a dress unless I was going to a funeral or a wedding. Now I wear them about half the time. I can't believe I missed out on all those years I could have been wearing them. </p> <p>One piece. Throw on a dress and sandals and you're out the door. I put on about a minute's worth of makeup and a necklace when I got to the office, but that's optional really. I think this dress could have held it's own if I didn't make it that far. </p> <p>I used to think they were too fussy and hard to wear. I used to think I needed to wear uncomfortable shoes with them. I have no idea why I thought these things. A dress really is the closet thing to walking out of the house in pjs on tired mornings. The bonus is once you've had some coffee and get over your morning slump, you aren't left with a frumpy outfit to continue the bad day cycle. </p> <p>Unfortunately mornings like this are common in my life right now, I need a lot of good dresses =)</p> <p>This dress is Jones NY and is a few years old.<br /> Necklace from Premiere Designs<br /> Jambu Sandals </p>
