That is a stylish cast, I don't think it looks jarring! I think more sheer hose would amp things up too.

I love the turquoise on you.

I really like both outfits. That blue is fab! I'm just impressed too that you take the time to dress so nicely with a cast on....gosh I would be a slob!

Thanks, everyone! I will definitely try a more structured blazer with the black skirt. I also have a less-frumpy black cardigan, but I think a blazer is a great idea.

I've always felt funny about wearing blazers and skirts in the same color but aren't actually a suit...am I weird? Maybe I need to find a charcoal blazer?

Also, I will try my black & white zebra top (see my other WIW) with the turquoise skirt. It will absolutely be maximal but I think I might love it!

Everything works here and I agree that's a gorgeous color in the first outfit.

The only thing that struck me here is to try a sheer grade of stockings with these outfits, just to lighten things up a little. I think sheer also looks a little dressier.

The turquoise is an amazing use of color, and the pop of red adds real sophistication. Perhaps its time to give the second look a more structured topper like a blazer with some stretch? Perhaps Ponte? Do you like A-line skirts? I do, but prefer them in softer fabrications. This would be easy to taper to a pencil, if you'd enjoy it more.

What would happen if you tried the animal print with the blue? It would be maximal, but it might be fab. Red or yellow would be interesting for the base layer top, as well. That said, I love the purity of the black here.

I love that you are doing stylish things with a boot firmly on your foot. (I hope you're OK!) I agree with Shevia, The turquoise is gorgeous and I love that you have accented it with red. I adore the texture of the black blouse especially where I can see the turquoise where the blouse overlaps the skirt.

The color of the first suit is gorgeous next to your skin (the bit I can see). I would also like to see it with white or maybe another color that I am not color savvy enough to suggest but others I hope will. Love your zebra top! I think a more structured jacket would give that outfit a sharper look. But these are great basics and you should keep posting!

These are only my second and third WIW, so I'm still a little shy...but I'm about to post a couple more. I'm looking for feedback about how to make these better. I'm wearing a boot because of my sprained ankle but happy to say that as of a couple of days ago, I'm out of the boot so just forget that's there now.

1, 2: J Crew merino cardigan and slight A-line skirt (LOVE this color!), Ann Taylor rosettes shell, skinny belt, tights, tall boots, and red Coach bag. I felt GREAT in this outfit. I got a ton of compliments too. If I could wear this outfit every day I'd be happy. In fact, I wore this outfit again today but with a black turtleneck sweater and felt wonderful and again got tons of compliments.

3-5: Land's End A-line skirt, Lord & Taylor zebra top, BR merino cardigan and my tights & tall boots. I love the idea of this outfit but looking at the pictures, I don't love this cardigan anymore and the top is not fantastic. It was an impulse buy, major sale and I have been desperately looking for an animal print to wear as a shell. It's fine for now but will be upgraded someday.
