I am a big chino fan as I wear shorts less often and I like the cotton chino fabric better than most jeans. I really need a high- quality, high-waisted ( or highER waisted —very hard for me to hit my true waist) , tailored style, straight leg to girlfriend-adjacent, maybe a brand/ style that I slightly size up &amp; tailor waist down. This spring the weather has been keeping me on my toes, some days it's hot enough for a short sleeve tee and shorts, other days it's cold enough for a sweater and boots!</p> <p><b>#1 to #3 - Trying Something New</b><br /> When the weather gets too warm for jeans, I often reach for shorts. Last year I tried linen wide leg pants as an alternative and while they were comfortable, the linen seemed too beachy for my WFH lifestyle and elevated casual personal style.</p> <p>This season I decided to try these JCrew chino's in stone as a non jeans, non shorts alternative. </p> <p>For their first outing I paired the chino's with a moss green graphic Life is Good tee and white Ecco sneakers. My JW Pei tote from last year's NAS pairs well with the reversible Tory Burch belt on the cognac side. </p> <p><b>#4 to #6 - What I Bought</b><br /> While running errands I stepped into a Rack Room Shoes, not a store I visit often and stumbled upon these cognac Ayden Slide Sandals by Michael by Michael Shannon which perfectly matches my tote and belt. </p> <p>My machy-matchy gene couldn't resist taking the sandals home.
