We had a lovely time. The restaurant is handling social distancing very well and we felt quite comfortable. We split a small order of poutine and raised a cocktail to our friend, and proceeded to chat for a couple of hours. We never miss a beat, after 40+ years of friendship. N, you are so right that we can’t take these opportunities for granted. Sadly, our other dear friend couldn’t make the trip to join us (also in the 40+ years of friendship category — he walked me down the aisle at my wedding), but we’ll get together with him soon. He’s working very hard as project manager of the Covid efforts at one of the major pharma companies so you can imagine.</p> <p>I enjoyed wearing this outfit and would repeat it for sure. It’s 75 degrees and sunny so we have an outdoor dining situation chosen, so we should be pretty safe. She has been vaccinated, I have not. </p> <p>It’s emotional because this is our first dinner together since our “third musketeer” passed away last February of cancer. We are meeting at our old standby place, which is famous for their duck fat fries. We got to joking that all we had to do was text each other “DFF - when?!” to set up a date. Suffice to say I’m wearing waterproof mascara, just in case I have a moment. </p> <p>Breaking out the brand new-to-me snake print backpack and debuting the snake print sandals. I threw together the outfit in about five minutes. DL1961 straight leg jeans with a big cuff, and a roomy white top from Anthro. I don’t wear this necklace a lot because it’s gold and I am more of a silver person, but I’m feeling it today. </p> <p>Thanks for looking, and happy Friday! </p>
