I am very slowly losing some of the extra weight I have put on in the last decade, through moderate changes in my eating habits, and if I’m successful, I may consider new jeans in the fall. But at that point, this particular pair may be too roomy — I could already feel these stretching out as I tried them on. I actually like white items to be a bit looser than other colors, but loose jeans with a high rise can often end up hanging down too low in the crotch area on me, resulting in the dreaded polterwang, LOL. So for now, I’m holding off on shopping for jeans unless it’s a reconnaissance mission. </p> <p>Weirdly, I am a little more comfortable in white shorts than white jeans. And I had a pair of white bootcut trousers years ago that fit beautifully and I really liked, but that was almost 15 years ago. I used to wear them for my interior design job, with lighter colored blouses and tops. They were a lower rise than what is currently available.
