You (Christina) and I are similarly proportioned top to bottom, but I’ve got wide and angular shoulders tops (pokey AC joints). I think I fear that it’s my wider shoulders with the fuller skirt and bolder print which will end up being too much. I just bought a similar cotton fit and flare Anne Klein dress: which has since quickly vanished from everywhere online. I was wondering whether to keep it and/or try the Boden Jade. </p> <p> Anne Klein dress in standard length is the same length as the Boden petite length and it has a boat neck, which when done right, I find can will minimize my shoulders better than a V neck. Also the print on the AK is the same size scale, but done in grayscale which helps with a black blazer or cardigan being less contrasting (and therefore again more shoulder minimizing) and I think that for me sticking with the AK is the way to go. </p> <p>Thanks for helping me think this through. It’s finally settling into high summer here. That means temps are consistently over 80. I have a mix of work and casual looks here. </p> <p>1-2 - work looks with jackets. I’ve gotten complements on my summer jackets for work. Most people in the office are wearing cardigans or their work logo fleeces that our organization gave us. </p> <p>3-4 - casual looks. The pants in 3 used to fit better - my legs have gotten skinnier since last summer due to using my Fitbit. 4 is one of my favorites in the casual summer dress genre. </p> <p>5 - another pants and jacket look</p> <p>6 - finally pulled out the Boden jade dress. I felt a little fancy for a Friday, but it was hot and the material was great when I was outside. </p> <p>7. Bonus - I took a jewelry class and made this ring. It’s not perfect but I like it a lot. </p> <p>8. Another house dress look for going outside. </p> <p>9 Yep, a romper. It’s not flattering probably or even JFE. I prefer this for outdoor activities in the extreme heat, as my legs don’t stick together and I can sit on the ground. I was going to a picnic. I discovered last year that I much order how shorter shorts look on me, despite years of wanting to cover my upper legs due to cellulite. Bermuda length shorts just didn’t look or feel right to me. I do NOT feel the same way about skirts, by the way, and never have! I may be a little old for this look, but I’m also too old to care :p</p> <p>Looks like I added a Yay or Nay, but not purpose.
