(Ceit &amp; Rae!) I have had a single purple streak off and on for a year, but this time I went whole hog and I love it! I used Splat color, which I do NOT recommend, as it was very drippy and made a huge mess.</p> <p>Angie - I'm hoping this is the impetus you need to try those pink streaks. I don't recommend blue, as it is much harder to maintain. Trust me, I've tried every color. :)</p> <p>Joy - I fully intend to try the pleather jacket over the shift dress. What shoes do you think?</p> <p>Suz - Great suggestions, I will try more layering for sure. I've done a pinstripe shirt before, but not a solid under this dress. As for color....I love black. I guess that in the past you relied a lot more on black (and there is still quite a lot) but it will be interesting to see where you go on your colour journey. </p> <p>As for the outfits, I really like #1. Agree with you about the cardi in #3. Can you layer that dress OVER a top (either the new black one, or another one for contrast)? Sometimes that is a fresher look. I'm really enjoying taking some risks and having fun finding my style! But I am 100% looking for honest opinions on some of these outfits. What's working, and what could use a little help.</p> <p>1. Black wide leg trousers, black french cuff button down, black crinkle toe pumps, pink zebra scarf. The shirt is making the first outing here.</p> <p>2. Yes, I dyed my hair dark purple with bright purple highlights. So fun, and I highly recommend everyone try it at least once. Really puts the "modern" in modern classic!</p> <p>3. Black shift dress, black slouch boots, white cardi, Union Jack scarf. Felt I looked better without the cardi, but of course it was too cold for that.</p> <p>4. Black slouchy skinnies, black scoop neck top, black belt, grey booties, and new grey faux leather jacket. Got told I looked like Michael Jackson in this outfit. Not sure how to take that!?!</p> <p>5. Denim trousers, fuschia button down, black cardi, black pumps. I fear this cardi needs to be retired to casual wear only.</p> <p>6. Proof that I am NOT wearing black pants. Very dark blue!</p> <p>7. Casual Friday: jeans, embellished tank, black cardi, boots.</p> <p>8. Super fantastic metallic leather bracelet from the Bath Fashion Museum in the UK.
