I didn't see any coverage of the funeral here in the US.<br /> My sister had the biggest crush on Andy Gibb - pretty normal for a tween girl back then I guess - and we did listen to the BeeGees way back when. </p> <p>Last week my DH and I watched the movie the BeeGees did with Peter Frampton (my crush back then and first concert I ever went too) - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I had seen that in the theater when I was in middle school but never since. Let me tell you to avoid this film. Worst thing ever. We watched the whole thing in fascination with the kitsch and camp. Talented fellows and great musical inspiration but overall - horrid. </p> <p>On to your outfit! Looking good and I love the shape of the hi-lo top for you. It falls perfectly where you want it too. I distinctly remember a yellow blouse with thin gold pinstripes in it. The class was weeks and weeks, every Monday and Thursday, after school. There were only 12 of us accepted into the class. </p> <p>Don't laugh, but I *still* remember all the moves. I can do them with my eyes closed. My husband laughs (and laughs and laughs) at me for this, but whatever. Due to circumstances, I am the only person in my social circle who knows how to do these moves. My husband is a bit older than me, my stepkids are obviously younger than me, and my friends wouldn't even try it. &lt;---too embarrassing for them. </p> <p>Every once in a (rare) while, I'll break out into these dance steps, out of the blue. Could be in the house, could be in pajamas, could be on the street - you just never know. As silly as it sounds, at least it makes people smile and laugh. The news has been plastered with scenes from Robin's funeral service. I guess I was thinking about how many of my high school years were spent listening to the Bee Gees. Yes I know they had been around for years prior to Saturday Night Fever but that is my first remembered experience of their music. Whenever I hear any of the songs from that soundtrack it immediately takes me back to the heady days of high school - crushes on boys, school dances and having the whole world of adulthood still to explore.<br /> So here is what I wore Saturday night to attend a surprise 40th for DH's baby brother. It was at a sports club and he was definitely surprised. Picture 4 is what I wore during the day to catch up with some old high school friends (that's also why I had the Bee gees on my brain). My best friend organised the impromptu breakfast get together as several of our old school mates including her brother were back in Kiwi land for brief visits - lots of smiles and laughter and do you remember whens.</p> <p>1-3 - black bootlegs, black/cream butterfly print high/lo top, black leather plaited belt, trusty red boots, black leather jacket &amp; cream scarf<br /> 4 - black straights, black long sleeve T, black/cream poncho, bronze ballet flats </p>
