They don't have the equipment to handle snow here, thankfully accumulation is rare and we don't stay cold for long. People also can't drive in the snow. My realtor told us when we bought our home, "I know you can drive in the snow but no one else can, you need to stay home when it snows." It's always cloudy, raining, or both. We even got a rare sprinkling of snow which had many people panicking. Coming from the northeast I had to laugh at that.
