WHOA NELLY!!! This are all fantastic Sveta - I'm especially in love with #2. The richness of the colours, the proportions, the slouch and semi tuck and that beautiful scarf all combine to make an absolutely stunning outfit.

Can't believe you didn't used to wear or like trousers!

I love #4, love the missoni tunic. They all look amazing - I like #1 for it's colour blocking expertise (not for amateurs is that colour blocking!). You are inspirational.

Sveta, You look so fab you make me want to get dressed up and take pictures!!! Well, I think number 5 is my favorite, with number 3 a close second. I'm partial to turtlenecks, and Santa may be bringing one like your BR version, if it's the non-wool one. I think you have an exceptional eye for color and proportion, and as I have said before, you excel at working with existing items to make them look fresh.

Sveta---- you are the very first person to make me want that GAP sweater----- for some reason I think it will probably fit more like it does on you on me, and you look stunning in it!

As usual I love all your looks, you pair pieces frequently I wouldn't have thought of together but it almost always works, like the scarf and shirt in number 2.

I love your WIWs, thanks for posting and I hope you continue. I've missed you around. Happy holidays!

Thank you for the kind words!
Amy, you should try these BR t-necks, I am so happy I got them and sized up for a looser fit. I got XL so I think L should work for you. They are no cheap but the quality is really good.
Caro, thanks for liking #3. It is fairly classic outfit but I also like it.
Beth Ann, I remember you liked #1 the first time too I think I will try semi tuck with this sweater and the skirt...
Joy, yes, this is a polka dot dress in #5, not a skirt. I also tried it with my Halogen ponte pencil skirts and I think it works as well.
Una, Mo, Mona - thanks!
Jules, thanks for appreciating #4 as well!
Angie, don't worry, I think those trousers are flattering on me - at least I feel this way. I just know that not everybody considers this style flattering ...but I do! I holed you would like #5 even if the sweater is long. Thanks for K-rating for the week!
Sara, I was amazed as well. I think with oversized trend you either go big (literally) or go home... Also thanks for liking my hair: I cut it really short this time.
Claire, Blondo boots did work out and I kept them. They are insulated and waterproof so I hope to wear them further into winter that my other boots before changing into sheepskin ones.

Oh. My. Goodness. Pass the smelling salts please. You do long sweaters over pencils like nobody's business. And over-sized over pencils. These are all amazing, but #5 took my breath away. Somehow I missed that the Blondo boots worked out for you, and I'm so happy. They look great in action, especially with those textured hose. You are too cool for school Sveta!

I adore #5 on you and am amazed how the subtle sweater fit changes #1 (that I agree isn't your best) to #5 (which is my fave of the lot Althugh I am always giving bonus points for black and cream combos!

I also think your hair looks especially great - the soft layers in front are very flattering.

Okay, back to outfits: I think #2-4 are also fab and love #4 for working the tunic and boots.

You are Sensational-Sveta.

FWIW, I think the trousers in #2 are *very* flattering. Current and modern. No wonder you feel like a million bucks in them. You LOOK like a million bucks in them! Your catwalk pose is fab

And #5 is especially gorgeous! So fun and texture-rich. The hose are the best cherry on top.

Love #2 but also have to give a shout-out to under appreciated #4! I love it when people make brown, grey and black work together.
My issue with #1 is that the shirt and skirt have a colour-blocking vibe but the tights and boots read textured neutrals. Two different looks IMHO. I would love to see it with a colour-blocked bottom ie/ matching solid tights and boots/booties.

I see what you mean about #1 would you try it with a darker skirt? Maybe it's the contrast rather than the length that doesn't feel right to you.
I like all the looks but there is something about #3 that just keeps bringing me back to it. The collar of that shirt is perfect on you & works so well with the jacket & pants such a gorgeous understated, stylish look.

Suz, you may be on to something here with the shape of the sleeves.
I find Gap sweater comfortable enough. The only time I "feel" it is when I am wearing a snugger fitting coat over it. I think it may also soften after the wash.

Okay, not Angie, but if she doesn't say K2K about #5 I will be very surprised. Anyway, I am saying it! That is just STELLAR on you. Love the pattern hose with the polka dot skirt!

I really love #2, as well. The belt with that turtleneck is super.

Do you find your Gap sweater comfortable? The cream one, I mean.

I think you're right that the more oversized sweater makes it seem more intentional. It also has to do with the shape of the shoulders and sleeves, I believe. When the sleeves narrow a lot towards the elbow, for some reason this seems to help the sweater work better in this way. I have no idea why, but I noticed it with another of my sweaters that is not quite as oversized (but is still drapey). It must affect the overall proportion in a subtle way.

This was the last work week before holidays and the last week of the fall weather - our winter arrived right on cue on December 21 with wet snow and approaching snow squalls.

#1
I have already posted this outfit because I was not sure how this sweater works with the skirt. Although YLF verdict was "not frumpy" I still did not feel fab in it so I will not be wearing it again. However I think it was a useful exercise for me
Gap striped sweater
Halogen yellow seamed ponte skirt
Franco Sarto grey boots

#2
It was not cold but it was a gloomy day so yellow again to brighten my day. I felt much better about this outfit than about #1even though it is slouchy and not body con at all. Some people may see these as not the most flattering type of trousers but I feel great in them. Here I am practicing my catwalk for you LOL!
BR yellow turtleneck (love them! I so glad I listened to Angie and sized up)
Danier brown leather blazer
Long Tall Sally micro check slouchy trousers
MK animal print belt
Purple and green circle scarf from Nordstrom (Secret Santa's gift from Lisa)
Naya burgundy booties

#3
Still some volume in wide leg trousers but more tailored overall look. We had a company Christmas lunch that day so I decided to dress up. It was also a last dry day according to a forecast so I wanted to wear my wide leg trousers once more. Who knows, I may need to pack them away until spring soon!
Tahari white shirt via Winners
Knit chanelesque jacket via Winners
Long Tall Sally wide leg trousers
Clarks black shooties

#4
If was pouring rain this day so skinny trousers and tall boots were in order.
Missoni for Target tunic
Black waterfall cardigan via Winners
BR grey Martin skinny trousers
BP cognac boots from last year NAS

#5
Today was the first snow of the winter and pretty cold. I wanted to bundle up with a chunky sweater but decided to give another try to sweater + skirt look. I liked this version much better that #1 even though the sweaters are the same length. I think it is because this cream sweater is more oversized and chunkier that the striped one so it looks more intentional. Anyway this is the version I am going to repeat again in the future! :-)
